Boooooom!
At first approaching this website, i believed it to be another photo browser type thing where many people posted pictures to the website. Only going into this project have i realised that it is quite similar to craft zine and quite perfect for my idea.
It is a website that aims to produce a community of people wanting to get out and be creative, exactly what i am trying to show in my website.
They are constantly putting on projects, and things to get people active and it all just looks like a lot of fun. Here is an example of one of their projects, based in Vancouver, that anybody could get involved with. They just have to make a small driftwood out of anything natural, go down to a a particular lake in Vancouver on a certain day, take a picture and let it ride. Then upload it to the booooom website.
It seemed like many people got involved and had a great day.
This blog really seems to pull people together through being silly and creative and also gets people outside having fun and enjoying non computer air.
Another great thing about this website is that many creatives can join the site and have their work often posted on it, or running along the side as a sort of advertisement. It really seems to be helping out those artist to get noticed.
