Craft Zine website

The main direction I want to be going with this project is to show that interactivity that people are having because of the internet and how active it can make people. Sort of showing the positive, non lazy side to the internet.
craft zine is a perfect example. A website full of many things, from craft, food, art projects and how to videos. I feel it really gets people, who want to be involved, involved.
At halloween they set up a competition for people to win a load of crafty things by making a costume or by making food, and then submitting photographs of that to the craft zine flickr website.
I see this as a good way of setting people's creativity on fire and to get involved and away from a computer.

It's going to be a crafty Halloween this year and we have a contest to help you showcase all the cool stuff you are making! Our CRAFT Halloween contest is looking for costumes (made for you, your kids, or your pets), as well as food and drinks, and spooky Halloween party decor. We want anything you create to get us all in the DIY Halloween spirit!

The Prizes

How to Enter: During the Contest Period, participants are invited to create and submit Halloween costumes, food and drink recipes, and Halloween party decor. To enter the Contest, please submit your project photos to the CRAFT Flickr pool (http://www.flickr.com/groups/craft/pool/), with the tag “crafthallowcontest”. Please include a brief description (up to 200 words) of your project, creation process, inspiration, materials, etc.
