Beginning ideas

This is a blog made for the research to my comm tech project.
I am looking at the creative collaborations that are made via the internet, and looking at how the internet can have a big effect and make a difference if we were to use it in the right way. To also highlight some of the positives happening amongst the wide web and to go against the voices who say that internet is making us lazy and scared of the real world. I believe there are many ways that people are using the internet to get people outside and doing things, and all for the cause of creativity.

My initial ideas and interests are towards music and bands, as so many bands are now realising they are to sell more of themselves in order to grab their fans and, i guess, to gain more fame, success and money.
To do this a lot of bands are turning to their music videos, another realease of creativity, and a wise way to capture their fans as they too can get involved. This, to me, is the best way to get fans, to allow them to be involved in a bands creativity and to allow an equal-ness between fan and band.
It sounds like a money scheming idea and maybe bands craving limelight and trying to get designers and creative artists out of a job, but i like how bands are becoming more diverse and how they are opening themselves up to their fans, and using art as a medium to talk to their fans. Using the internet, obviously, to make fans aware of any creative stuff going on, to then produce some original, fun stuff that i find very inspiring and something that definitely gets people away from their computers.
